"Never give up! Failure and rejection are only the first step to succeeding."
Kendo, meaning the way of the sword, descended from traditional Japanese swordsmanship. It uses bamboo swords (shinai) and protective armor (Bogu) to practice true sword combat. Two opponents learn to spar using the movements of age old Samurai Warriors. Under the guidance and direction of Hiroaki Kimura and The Buffalo Kendo Club, our program strives to develop in its students a strong, healthy body. Our focus is on building stamina, strength, endurance, speed and quick reflexes, along with developing a strong character focusing on perseverance and determination.
